Havanese puppies are considered a non-allergenic breed of dogs, that are a great choice for those with allergies. They are virtually non-shedding. And any hair that may be shed is trapped in the outer layer of their double layered coat. To keep their fur from getting matted they should be brushed regularly.
People that are allergic to dogs are generally allergic to dogs’ dander and saliva. The Havanese breed falls into the “low-allergen” category because they emit very little dander. Also, Havanese do not drool, which is another reason why they are hypoallergenic.
